Fees and Bookings

Booking is easy: view current availability and fees online and choose a suitable time without waiting for a return phone call.

As I run an independent practice without full-time administration, I don't take phone bookings. The online system provides a simple and private way to manage your appointments at a time that suits you.

How to get started

  1. Choose an appointment
Select a suitable time for either a face-to-face or online session.
  2. Complete your intake form
You will receive a confidential form to provide relevant information before we meet.
  3. Attend your session
We will begin by discussing what has brought you to counselling and what you would like help with.

If you decide to continue counselling, we can arrange future appointments at the end of your session or you can book online whenever it is convenient.

Do I need a referral?

You are welcome to book directly and do not need a referral from your GP.

GP and other health professional referrals are also welcome, but you do not need a Mental Health Care Plan to attend.

Please be aware that Medicare does not currently provide rebates for appointments with registered counsellors in Australia. This is a private-pay counselling service.

Changing or cancelling an appointment

You can change or cancel appointments through the online booking system without a fee, provided you give at least two clear business days’ notice.

This notice period gives me a reasonable opportunity to offer the appointment to another person who may be waiting.

The full session fee applies when an appointment is cancelled or changed with less than two clear business days’ notice, or when a client does not attend. This policy applies regardless of the reason for the late cancellation or change.

What happens in the first session?

You do not need to have everything worked out before attending counselling. The first session gives you an opportunity to explain what has been happening, ask questions and discuss what you would like to achieve.

Counselling can help you look at a situation more clearly, understand the factors involved and consider practical ways to manage difficulties or make changes. The direction and pace of the work will depend on your circumstances, needs and goals.

When you are ready, you can view the available appointments and choose a time that works for you.
